International Women's Day 2023

As VP of Marketing at A-MAX, I prefer to let my team be in the spotlight. So you can imagine how hesitant I was when my team asked me to be part of our Women's History Month campaign and share my own story. They challenged me to step out of my comfort zone.

When I finally agreed, I immediately started thinking about what I would say and how I wanted to come across. Then it hit me: I was so worried about how I'd be seen talking about my path and accomplishments.

In many ways, that struggle is the same one many women face. We dim our light to make the people around us feel comfortable. But I deserve to be proud of my accomplishments and my story, because it took a great deal of hard work, dedication and perseverance to build the career I have.

I also want to recognize the commitment A-MAX has made to diversity at every level of the company. Most of the people who work here are women, and that's something you don't often see in many workplaces. I'm proud to be part of a company that backs its words about inclusion and diversity with real action.
